At Friendship Adult Day Services, we have a listening ear; provide telephone support and referrals to other community services and resources to support in-home care for your loved ones. We also have an onsite caregiver library with free information and items you can check out.

We know that no one knows your family member like you do, and that providing care is usually a rewarding endeavor. However, care giving can become a 24 hour a day, 7 day a week commitment. The emotional and physical demands can take a toll on the emotional and physical health of the caregiver. Statistics show this is often not relieved by institutional care because family involvement is still needed. But without respite – a temporary break from in-home demands – the caregiver can be at risk for depression, exhaustion, and other health problems.

Friendship wants to provide you a safe, nurturing alternative. One day to five, utilizing us for daytime services gives your family member a great social connection and provides you needed rest. With this solution you may have the best of what you want for your family.

Are you seeking everyday care? At Friendship Adult Day Services, Inc., your family member can enroll Monday through Friday and will have a personalized care plan, cognitive , physical and social activities that are based on interests, and access to our many friends from the community who support us in providing your loved one’s care.  Here, professionals collaborate to provide you with access to Occupational, Physical, Music and Art Therapy, Master Gardening tips and access to the calming effects of Pet therapy.  Specialized diets, planned by a registered dietician are available and our staff assures meds are taken safely.  We can link you to Alamance County’s courteous transportation service, ACTA, for your transportation needs.
